Wednesday, 22 July 2009The first session of Engineering Maintenance Coordinating Committee at the Council of Ministers of Defense of the CIS member states took place today in the Military Institute of Land Forces in Almaty, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan informed "Kazakhstan Today" agency.
During the session, the representatives of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Russia discussed organizational questions of interaction of the CIS Armed Forces and the project of the regulations and the long-term plan of the work of the committee.
The structure of the Kazakhstan delegation included the representatives of Central Administrative Board of Special Forces headed by Major General Muslim Dairov.
The decision on creation of Engineering Maintenance Coordinating Committee at the Council of Ministers of Defense of the CIS states was accepted on June 3, 2009 at the session of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers.
