Wednesday, 22 July 2009The question of location of the base of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in the south of Kyrgyzstan will be decided on August 1st during the informal CSTO summit in Issyk Kul. The Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan, Zhanysh Rustenbekov, stated during the press conference in the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan, "Kazakhstan Today" agency reports.
"The question of location of CSTO base in the south of Kyrgyzstan is at the stage of negotiations," Z. Rustenbekov informed.
The Ambassador reminded that CSTO informal summit is expected to take place with participation of the leaders of the state-participants of the organization on August 1st in the city of Cholpon-Ata in Issyk Kul," Z. Rustenbekov said.
As informed earlier, the leaders of CSTO member states made a decision on CRRF creation in Moscow on February 4th, 2009. RRF will be used to repulse military aggression and carrying out of special operations to struggle against international terrorism and extremism, transnational organized crime, drug traffic and liquidation of consequences of emergencies.
