Russian, Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarchs Meet in Istanbul

The Russian and Fener Greek Orthodox patriarchs met in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Saturday.
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow visited the Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Istanbul, and had a meeting with Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew.
Before the meeting, Kirill attended a religious service.
During his meeting with Kirill, Bartholomew said Kirill's visit meant a message of unity, solidarity and fraternity between the Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarchate and the Russian church.
Kirill said this visit would be a new beginning of relations with Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarchate.
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow arrived in Istanbul earlier on Saturday. He is also set to hold talks in capital city of Ankara until July 6.
