Saturday, 4 July 2009Uzbek President Islam Karimov received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain Miguel Ángel Moratinos at Oqsaroy presidential residence on 3 July 2009.
Uzbek leader noted successful development of the Uzbek-Spanish relations. He said agreements, reached at the meeting with the King Juan Karlos in May 2009 will lift cooperation between two states to new level.
He said that the visit of the Spanish Foreign Minister to Uzbekistan is evidence for interest of the sides to develop bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Miguel Ángel Moratinos expressed gratitude to the Uzbek President Islam Karimov for warm receipt and said Spain is interested expansion of relations with Uzbekistan.
The sides exchanged opinion on the Uzbek-Spanish relations.
