Uzbekistan Issues Postal Stamp for Youth Asian Games

Uzbekistan Markasi introduced postal stamps dedicated to Singapore Youth Asian Games into circulation on 1 July 2009. Singapore Youth Asian Games opened on 29 June 2009.

Over 1,300 youth athletes from 45 countries will compete in nine sports, including athletics, bowling, volleyball, basketball, football, shooting, table tennis, etc.

Uzbekistan will compete in such sports as bowling, athletics, swimming, diving, shooting, street ball and tennis ball.

Uzbekistan Markasi prepared two postal stamps - Basketball and Football. Postal stamps have official logo of the Asian Games and text in Uzbek - Yoshlarning Osiyo o'yinlari (Youth Asian Games). Stamps were issued with 20,000 copies.
