Turkish Athlete Wins Gold in Mediterranean Games

A Turkish athlete won a gold medal in the Mediterranean Games on Tuesday.
Elvan Abeylegesse of Turkey became the gold medalist in 10,000 meter in the 16th Mediterranean Games in Pescara, Italy.
Abeylegesse ran 10,000 meters in 31.51.98 and won the gold medal in this event.
Olivera Jevtic of Serbia became the silver medalist, and Kenza Tifani Dahmani of Algeria followed Jevtic and won the bronze medal in the same category.
The 16th edition of the Mediterranean Games began in Pescara, Italy on June 25 with participation of 23 countries, and will end on July 5.
