Turkish Executives Discuss Arrangement on Trial of Military Personnel

The Turkish president, prime minister and army chief discussed on Tuesday a legal arrangement paving the way for trial of military personnel.
Turkey's President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug, State Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek and Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin debated a legal arrangement on trial of military personnel before civil courts.
After the National Security Council (MGK) meeting held at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, Gul had a meeting with Erdogan, Basbug, Cicek and Ergin.
Gul received information about the mentioned legal arrangement.
The Turkish parliament passed the legal arrangement allowing trial of military personnel before civil courts on Friday.
