Oprah Winfrey Visits Istanbul, Gives Party at Ciragan Palace |

Tuesday, 30 June 2009American producer and talk show star Oprah Winfrey visited Monday Istanbul and throw a party at the Ciragan Palace for her employees and their families.
Winfrey took all 1,600 on a cruise of the Mediterranean, sailing from Barcelona to Rome, Messina, Santorini, Izmir, Ephesus, Istanbul, Athens, and Valletta, Malta on board the cruise ship Norwegian Gem.
The television icon was welcomed by the traditional Ottoman Mehteran band at the Istanbul palace and the show included a performance of the whirling dervishes and dancers.
The cost of the trip is estimated at 5,400 USD each - a total of 8.6 million USD. |
