Wednesday, 24 June 2009Turkish Cartoon Makers' Association and Seoul Animation & Cartoon Producers' Association signed an agreement to exchange views and extend cultural support to each other.
The agreement was signed by Dervis Pasin, chairman of the Turkish Cartoon Makers' Association, and Joong Hyuk Bang, director-general of the Seoul Animation & Cartoon Producers' Association.
Pasin said, "South Korea is one of the most developed countries in the industry of cartoon. This agreement is a significant step for Turkish animation and cartoon makers. Actually, the history of cartoons in Turkey was older than those in South Korea. But, we could not develop this industry."
"Under the agreement, we will be able to send students studying animation at universities to Korea for further education. We are also planning to develop joint projects with South Korean producers," Pasin added.
