After an illegal rally staged by protestors who reject the outcome of the 10th presidential election, order has returned to some parts the Iranian capital, Tehran, Press TV reported.

Sattarkhan Street (in western Tehran) is in relative peace. The firefighters are putting out the flame in the street, IRNA reported on Saturday.

Protestors had set ablaze two buses, many trashcans as well as trees, the report said.

Protestors are currently dispersed, it added.

The report added that police and Basij forces have dispersed protesters on Azadi Street.

According to the report, the street connecting the Enqelab Square to Azadi Square is also in the control of police.

IRNA reported that security forces arrested main agents who orchestrated the riots on Saturday.

Despite warnings by Iranian police, pro-Mousavi protesters staged an illegal rally in Tehran on Saturday for the 8th consecutive day.

Sporadic clashes were reported between security forces and the protesters. Casualties have also been reported. Press TV cannot verify these reports at this point.

Supporters of Mir-Hossein Mousavi, the last Iranian prime minister, have held rallies in Tehran and other cities since incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was declared victor of the June 12.

Mir-Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, another defeated presidential candidate, reject the election as fraudulent and demand a re-run.

On Friday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei called for an end to street protests, assuring the public that the Islamic Republic has 'by no means' betrayed the vote of the nation.
