Georgian Defense Minister Holds Meetings In U.s.

Georgian Defense Minister David Sikharulidze holds official meetings in the United States. He will also partake at the Atlantic Council, the Georgian Defence Ministry reported.

The prospects of cooperation in the framework of bilateral Georgian-American Charter, which was signed in January 2009, will be reviewed at the meeting.

Today Sikharulidze will partake at the meeting of ambassadors of the European Union and the United States to discuss conflict regions in Georgia, Georgia-Russia ties and other issues.

Georgian Defense Minister will also meet with Senator Richard Lugar to review arrangements envisaged in the Charter.
