Turkish Export Drops to 7.5 Billion USD In April

ANKARA - The export rate of Turkey dropped 33.3 percent in April, 2009 when compared to April, 2008.

Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) stated on Friday that the export rate decreased to 7.5 billion USD in April, 2009.

Import rate also dropped 43.4 percent to 10.1 billion USD in April, 2009 when compared to April, 2008.

Foreign trade deficit decreased 61 percent from 6.5 billion USD to 2.5 billion USD in April, 2009.
