Turkish Defense Minister Due to United States

The Turkish defense minister will travel to the United States, his office said on Friday.
Turkey's National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul will fly to the United States on Saturday to attend the annual conference of the Turkish American Business Council and American Turkish Council.
Gonul will also have a formal meeting with U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and visit "Research Triangle Park", a technology park in North Carolina, during his stay in the United States.
The Turkish defense minister is expected to return to Turkey on June 7.
