Georgia, Tbilisi, May 27 /Trend News, N.Kirtzkhalia/

On May 27, part of the radical opposition leaders met with the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II. They were George and Levan Gachechiladze and the leader of the Democratic Movement - Unified Georgia Nino Burjanadze.

After the meeting, none of the participants commented to the press on this meeting.

Notably, another part of the opposition leaders, including Salome Zourabichvili had the information about the meeting.

At the moment the leaders of the opposition are engaged in consultations in the office of the "Alliance for Georgia."

It should be noted that the previous day, after the Patriarch of Georgia called on the opposition to abandon the idea of street action on the resignation of President Mikhail Saakashvili, Gia Gachechiladze accused the Georgian Interior Ministry that it exerted pressure on the head of the Georgian Orthodox Church
