UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon's next report does not call the territorial integrity of Georgia into question, Georgian Ambassador to UN Kakha Lomaia said.
This report broke the Geneva meeting on May 17. Despite the fact that the report already exists, it has not been made public, due to which the Abkhaz side refused to visit Geneva. But the delegations of Russia and South Ossetia which came to the meeting left it, declaring solidarity with the Abkhazians. Sukhumi demands the UN Secretary General's report to determine the status of Abkhazia as an independent state.
The 1808 report describes the situation that occurs in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone in February to May, Secretary of the Georgian National Security Council Alexander Lomaia said.
"This report once again mentions the UN's commitment to the territorial integrity of Georgia and it is not called into question. The report is based on the report of UN observers in the Gali and Ochamchira areas of Upper Abkhazia and in the regions of Samegrelo," he said.
