Internationally-acclaimed Turkish pianist Idil Biret is set to appear at a recital in the Greek capital, Athens, on Wednesday.
Biret will take stage at the Athens Music Palace to mark the 30th anniversary of the foundation of Gina Bachauer Music Association, and she will play pieces by J. S. Bach, Gluck, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Wagner, Liszt, Fritz Kreisler and Wilhelm Kempff.
"We are two nations who very much look alike. Our life styles and even our culinary traditions are same. We need to get closer through cultural events," Biret told the Anadolu Agency.
