The delegation of Azerbaijani parliament led by Speaker Ogtay Asadov met with the Chairman of the Lithuanian Seym (parliament) Arunas Valinskas and members of the parliamentary group of the Lithuanian Parliament on relations with Azerbaijan during a visit to Lithuania.

During the warm and friendly conversation, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Lithuania, both at the inter-parliamentary level, and involving representatives from business, youth, and culture.

Speaker of Lithuanian parliament Valinskas invited guests to participate in the meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to take place in mid-summer in Vilnius.

Members of the parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan also had the opportunity to see the the new and old rooms of the Seym where restoration of independence of Lithuania was announced March on, 1990.
