Georgian Opposition Not To Stage Rally In Kostova Street

The radical opposition, despite the promises, changed it plan to stage rally in Kostava street in front of the Public Television of Georgia. The decision was made after a meeting of opposition leaders with activists of rally in the office of former Defense Minister Gia Karkarashvili.

The public is against the opening of the road, considering it a step backwards, said Irakli Alasania, one of the leaders of opposition.


"We continue to consult on this issue, and hopefully for the better" he said.


Another opposition leader Levan Gachechiladze said that the road will not be opened because of the position of participants of the rally.

"What will happen next we will see" he said.
