"Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be solved based on the international law principles," said the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev while receiving the members of the US Council on Foreign Relations, AzerTaj state news agency reported. 

"With regards to the self-determination right which the Armenian side tries to bring as an argument, I want to say that the Armenians have already enjoyed this right while they established Armenian state. If they would base on this logic, many Armenian states would create in the world. This is a wrong approach," Aliyev said.

President said that during the negotiations, Azerbaijan always tries to attract the attention of the Armenian side to the Helsinki Final Act.
