Saturday, 9 May 2009The President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that events of Great Victory over fascism are urgent today. There are those people who embark on military reckless scheme. The President said that any aggression against Russian citizens will face repulse but Russia's future will be peaceful, RIA Novosti reported.
Addressing before participants of parade in honor of Victory Day at Red Square, the President said that Victory Day passes from one generation to another. Our grandchildren will respect this day.
Addressing veterans the President stressed that their strength of mind and devotion to motherland changed world history, gave lives and freedom to future generations.
The President said that we must thank veterans. No problems will hamper us.
The President said that Soviet soldiers gave example to all peoples.
"This example is urgent. Presently, there are people who embark on military reckless scheme," the President said.
Peace will be possible when norms of international law are observed. So, Russia stands for initiative to create a new system of international security.
"Any aggression against Russian citizens will face repulse but Russia's future will be peaceful," the president said. |
