The fact that Azerbaijan celebrates the Victory is a manifestation of historical memory of the civilized state, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin said at wreath-laying ceremony for a mass grave of soldiers.
"It is my honor to welcome you first time on the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Azerbaijan. May 9 is a truly holy feast. Neither years nor state borders, which appeared in the territory of the powers, which defeated fascism, could minimize its significance. Your feat of arms, patriotism and enduring strength of mind will remain forever in the memory of people who are living with fruits of the Great Victory," the Ambassador said.
The war did not divide victims or heroes in nationalities. "The contribution of the Azerbaijanis in the defeat of fascism is an example of selfless service to their civic duty. The fact that Azerbaijan celebrates the Victory is a manifestation of historical memory of the civilized state," Dorokhin said.
"A kowtow and eternal glory of warriors and winners who upheld the life and dignity of our peoples. I warmly wish you health, happiness and well-being," the Ambassador said.
