Monday, 4 May 2009ISTANBUL - Yeni Safak, Istanbul daily, argues that German Prime Minister Anela Merkel targets Turkey's stability and development. According to the report Merkel is not happy with the current government and supports the RPP (CHP), main opposition party in Turkey.
"Germany leaked the Deniz Feneri files to the opposition parties in order to create problems for the AK Party and now it does not handle the foreign aid documents about the RPP which may result in closing of the RPP" the paper reported. Yeni Safak further says "Germany aims to destabilize Turkey".
For the daily newspaper, Merkel Government's aim is to undermine the AK Party Government in Turkey.
Merkel is against Turkey's European Union membership.
