The fire in the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy was opened by a Georgian citizen, 25, who was not a student of the Academy, Trend News correspondent quoted Law Enforcements Department as saying.

According to preliminary investigation, the fire was opened by a Georgian citizen of Azerbaijani origin. The name of the offender has not been announced.

The Georgian Embassy has not confirmed the information.

According to preliminary investigation, minimum 13 people were killed and 18 wounded as the result of shooting in the second building of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Trend News correspondent quoted Law Enforcements Department as saying.  

The armed man was neutralized, Trend News correspondent reported from the scene of the incident. Deputy Internal Minister Vilayat Eyvazov confirmed the information. According to unofficial information, the offender shot himself.
