Georgia, Tbilisi, April 30 /Trend News, N.Kirtzkhalia/
The Georgian law enforcement agencies arrested a Canadian citizen who was allegedly engaged in manufacturing counterfeit dollar banknotes. The Georgian Interior Ministry reported that Canadian citizen Julis Fabol, born in 1968, temporarily lived in the Ata hotel in Tbilisi.
During the search, the agencies withdrew bills of $100 and €100 Euro, the detector of ultraviolet radiation, four bottles of chemical substances and items with which Fabol allegedly produced counterfeit banknotes.
Fabol processed counterfeit 100-dollar bills with iodine, alcohol, and so far unknown liquid so that it was difficult for banking equipment and experts to distinguish them from true.
Moreover, the agencies withdraw white sheets which reflect 20-dollar, 100-dollar and 100-euro banknotes through ultraviolet illumination. A special examination was appointed to determine the chemical composition of withdrawn substances.
The case is under investigations.
