Swedish Military Attache To Visit Georgian Defense Ministry

Georgia, Tbilisi, April 22 /Trend News, N. Kirtskhalia/

Swedish military attache Colonel Par Brid will visit Georgia's Defense Ministry in late April to discuss future military cooperation. 

Military attaché's meeting was coordinated during Georgian defense delegation's visit to Stockholm. The meeting with Swedish counterparts focused on further Georgia-Sweden military cooperation.

The Georgian delegation included International Relations and Euro-Atlantic Integration Office Head Marik Laliashvili, Allied Armed Forces Strategic Planning and Military Policy Office Head Colonel David Aptsiauri and Operative Planning Office Head Colonel Levan Kapanadze. The delegation met with Swedish Armed Forces International Relations Office, Operative Planning Office officials and senior adviser to International Relations and Security Department and Armed Forces planning and policy officials.

The Swedish side made presentation about the Armed Forces structure, participation in peacekeeping operations and new defense document. Georgian officials spoke about Georgian Defense Ministry's priorities and situation in the region.
