Azerbaijan, Baku, April 15 /Trend News, J. Babayeva/ 

Latvian Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins will discuss Azerbaijan-Latvia economic cooperation during his official visit to Baku on April 16. 

During the official visit on April 16-17, Riekstins will meet with Azerbaijani officials.

Latvian Foreign Minister will discuss bilateral economic cooperation, agenda of the inter-governmental commission and Latvian President Valdis Zatlers' visit to Azerbaijan which is set for the first half of 2009, Latvian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhails Popkovs said earlier.

"There is tradition between Latvia and Azerbaijan - Presidents' visits are accompanied by business forums. Latvian President can be accompanied by economic delegation during the visit," Azerbaijani ambassador to Latvia Tofik Zulfugarov told Trend News earlier. 

According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, Azerbaijan-Latvia trade turnover totaled $7,857,900 in 2008. About $3,974,600 accounts for exports and $3,883,300 for imports.
