Prime Minister and Parliamentary Elections Begin In India

Elections for the prime minister and parliament have begun in India, RBK reported with reference to Skynews TV channel. Over 700 million voters will partake in the elections and 5 stages of the elections will take place within a month. Results of the elections will be divulged on May 16.

Major political forces who contest for electorates' votes are the nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party and governing Indian National Congress.
