The Turkish Police conducted a major PKK operation in 14th of April. The operation took place in 15 cities which are: Istanbul, Ankara, Diyarbakir, Aydin, Adana, Elazig, Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, Sirnak, Hakkari, Bingol, Van, Batman and Mardin. Over than 50 apprehended including 3 top pro-Kurdish DTP (Democratic Society Party)executives. The police arrested DTP Deputy General Secretaries Kamuran Yuksek and Bayram Altun; DTP city representatives Celal Yoldas and Mehmet Akin and DTP former Diyarbakir representative Musa Farisogullari.
Police found out the illegal organization called "Turkey Coordination Unit" under PKK terrorist organization two years ago. The operation lead from Diyarbakir according to nearly one year long investigation of Diyarbakir Police Department. In the operations, according to investigation authorization, the police also made investigations in Gun TV station and houses, bureaus of the DTP members.
