Russian Company To Produce Airliners Jointly With Iran

Russian aircraft manufacturer Tupolev first deputy head stated the importance of cooperation between Iran and Russia in the sphere of aircraft production.

"Tupolev is the biggest aircraft producer in Russia. The company intends to develop cooperation with Iran," Tupolev first deputy head Sergei Galperin said in an interview with the IRNA.

Iran and Russia are negotiating sale of the Tupolev aircraft, he said. 

Iran's industrial aircraft manufacturer and the Tupolev are discussing sale of one hundred TU-204 aircraft. "Most of these aircraft will be assembled in Iran," Galperin said.
