Saturday, 7 March 2009According to a recent survey, conducted by the A&G Research Organization, 41, 7 % of the Istanbul residents would vote for AKP if the local elections were held today. 34, 2 % would vote for the CHP, the main opposition party, according to the same survey. 18, 5% appears to be precarious.
A&G experts regard nominating Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who is prominent with his truthfulness and honesty, as a smart move of CHP. CHP votes have been increased considerably after Kilicdaroglu was nominated, according to the researchers.
Basing on the study, A&G argues that 42, 4% would mark AKP if general elections were the case and CHP would get 29 %.
Election poll, conducted by Pollmark Research Organization for AKP shows a different picture. 55, 3% of the votes would go for AKP. CHP would get 33, 8% of the votes, according to AKP.
