ANKARA (A.A) - Here are the main topics that the English News Desk of "Anadolu Agency" has to cover on February 25, 2009:

1- Turkish President Abdullah Gul will separately receive U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East George Mitchell and Silvyo Ovadya, the head of the Turkish Jewish Community, at Presidential Palace in Ankara. (6 p.m./2 p.m.)
- Gul will also receive Libyan Ambassador to Turkey Ziyad Adham al-Muntasar. (11:30 a.m.)
2- Turkish State Minister Mehmet Aydin will leave for Mali to participate in Turkish-Malian Joint Economic Committee meeting.
3- Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan will attend a luncheon to be hosted in Istanbul by the Turkish-American Business Council. (noon)
4- Turkish State Minister & chief negotiator for European Union (EU) talks Egemen Bagis will receive U.S. Ambassador to Turkey James Jeffrey at the Secretariat General for the EU in Ankara. (11 a.m.)
5- Industry & Trade Minister Zafer Caglayan will deliver a speech in a conference organized in Lyon, France by Turkish Investment Support & Promotion Agency and Lyon Chamber of Commerce.
6- President Mehmet Ali Talat of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias will meet for the 20th time at the buffer zone in Lefkosa. (10 a.m.)
