Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), national airline of Uzbekistan, transported 2.069 million passengers in 2008 or 4% more compared to 2007. Cargo transportation rose by 6.4% to 22,200 tonnes, Valeri Tyan, director-general of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, said.
In conditions of financial crisis, the Uzbek company's management believe it is optimal to keep the volume of transported passengers in 2009 at the same level of 2008. Tyan said if the company transports 2.1 million passengers, it will be good.

Uzbekistan Havo Yollari currently uses 16 western aircrafts, of which 10 Boeing aircrafts, three A-310 and three RJ-85.
