Turkish Foreign Ministry Hosts Ambassadors of African Countries

Turkish Foreign Ministry on Thursday hosted ambassadors of African countries to Turkey at a meeting within the scope of Turkey's non-permanent membership to the United Nations Security Council.

According to a statement by Foreign Ministry, Turkey, acting under the principles and targets of UN Charter, exerts every kind of efforts to restore international peace and security within the scope of its mission as a UN Security Council non-permanent member between 2009-2010.

The statement said, "Turkey gives a special importance to matters related to Africa within the framework of Turkey-Africa strategic cooperation."
