After Russia resumed flow of natural gas via Ukraine to European countries on Tuesday, natural gas from the western line of Russia reached Turkey on Wednesday morning, officials have said.

Executives from the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Ministry and BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation said pressure of natural gas would increase gradually in the day and it would reach the normal level Wednesday evening.

Turkey was getting 40 million cubic meters of natural gas a day from the western line before the (natural gas) crisis.

On January 6, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler announced that the flow of natural gas from the western line of Russia to Turkey via Ukraine completely stopped.

Russia's Natural Gas monopoly, Gazprom cut the natural gas flow to Ukraine at the beginning of this year after dispute with this country over natural gas prices.
