The chairman of Turkish Red Crescent Aid Society, Tekin Kucukali, said Tuesday that "Red Crescent is the only organization in the world that could enter Gaza".

20 trucks carrying 410 tons of food materials and blankets left Ankara on Tuesday and are on their way to Gaza to distribute the aid to the residents there.

Speaking to reporters in Ankara, Kucukali said that the "Red Crescent is working hard to bring individuals injured in clashes in Gaza to Turkey for medical treatment".

"The Red Crescent went through important tests after the tsunami disaster and the earthquake in Pakistan. We are now going through a test in Gaza," Kucukali also said.
