Macedonia, Skopje - Leaders of the four largest parliamentary parties should discuss Friday the possible introduction of electronic voting at the upcoming presidential and local elections, as well as enhancement of the electoral process.

The meeting is held upon the initiative of Prime Minister and VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski. Zoran Zaev of SDSM, Ali Ahmeti of DUI and Menduh Thaci of DPA have confirmed their attendance.

"Taking into consideration that representatives of the international community have recommended introduction of the electronic voting system, the meeting would focus on issues related to the upcoming local elections and the possibility of implementing a pilot-project on electronic voting", reads Gruevski's invitation.

Gruevski added that enhancement of electoral legislation and democratic procedures in implementation of elections is a significant issue in Macedonia's Euro-integration.
