Hebron – Ma’an – The Israeli military shut down all roads leading to the Ibrahimi mosque in the flashpoint city of Hebron in the southern West Bank after a Palestinian woman was detained for allegedly carrying a knife.

Palestinian Authority security sources told Ma’an that Israeli forces detained 25-year-old Randa Shahatit, from the town of Dura, south of Hebron. One of the Israeli soldiers spotted Shahatit, then fired shot into the air. She was searched and a knife was found on her person.

According to the same sources, Israeli troops detained another Palestinian near the Ibrahimi Mosque, 18-year-old Hazim Az-Zeir, for allegedly carrying a knife wrapped in Hamas flag.
