Tuesday, 6 January 2009For the first time, the Israeli military said its own troops suffered casualties from so-called “friendly fire”. According to the Israeli statement three Israeli soldiers were killed when a tank-fire directed at a building they had occupied in northern Gaza.
Hamas on the other hand says that it has killed 5 Israelis since the conflict began.
The medical officials in Gaza estimated that the death toll during the war reached 550 including more than 100 children and women on Monday. |
