Clashes: Three Israeli soldiers reported killed, one resistance fighter, in clashes in north and central Gaza |

Tuesday, 6 January 2009Gaza - Ma’an - Resistance fighters continued to clash with Israeli troops in the north and central Gaza Strip overnight Monday. Clashes killed one activist and three Israeli soldiers.
Three areas of clashes were reported in the northern Strip. In Jabaliya, Beit Lahiyah and the Az-Zeitoun areas, areas surrounding the densely populated Gaza City, and confirming that Israeli troops have maintained their ‘ring formation’ around the area and have not yet entered the city.
Brigades reported at least three Israeli soldiers were dead and dozens were injured in the clashes.
In central Gaza the An-Nasser Salah Ad-Din Brigades said they clashed with Israeli troops in the Deir Al-Balah area on the coast of Gaza, and reported losing one member during the violence. He was identified as Muhammad Abu Sh’ira
