ISTANBUL - Turkish columnist and author Oktay Akbal argued that Israel became a new type of Nazi German. Mr. Akbal in his daily Cumhuriyet column titled “That’s The Real Genocide” said the Israelis forgot what they experienced in the Nazi camps.
Akbal further claimed Israel destroyed the Palestinian state and saw its race superior over the Arab race.
“Israel has been trying to destroy Gaze, thousands of people, children, women or men… The United States is behind Israel, Bush supports Israelis and they hope Obama will also support them… Why do the Jewish authors, artists who experienced the Nazi tortures, so silent before this terrible genocide” he added.
Cumhuriyet is one of the leading Turkish leftist newspapers.
