By Tuluhan TUZLUCA (JTW) - The U.N. Security Council called on all sides to cease fire. Many states have urged Israel to halt the attack. The Israeli attacks brought immediate condemnation from many Arab and other leaders. Turkey and Russia for example strongly condemned Israel. Israel has been protested by the people in almost all Middle Eastern countries however an Israeli official said Israel was feeling little international pressure to halt its operations.
According to the Reuters report the Israeli official said that Israel will not stop the attacks because international community mad no serious pressure. Bahadir Dincer from Ankara-based USAK said “the main reason for Israeli perception is the US’ pro-Israel position”. “The Washington has fully supported Israel and Tel Aviv knows that neither the European Union nor the other states can stop Israel” Mr. Dincer added. According to Dincer the Israeli attacks against the Gaza people will nourish anti-Americanism in the region and in the world.
