OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut met South Korean Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan and other senior officials on 29 April to discuss Seoul's cooperation with the Organization.

The talks focused on Central Asia and Afghanistan, as well as developments on the Korean Peninsula and the OSCE's experience in building regional security.

"South Korea has played an active role with the OSCE since it became a Partner for Cooperation in 1994, and there seems little doubt that involvement will grow further, not least because of converging interests in Central Asia," said the Secretary General at the end of his two-day visit.
