Seven opposition leaders convicted for staging the post-election public disorder in Baku may be released on another presidential decree, the director of the President's Office socio-political department Ali Hasanov told journalists.

Hasanov said that appeals have been received from a number of international organizations and the Azeri public with regard to pardoning the opposition representatives.

The issue will be first considered by the Commission on Pardon and then a relevant report submitted to the President, he added.
