Turkey plans to send fresh aid to Tal Afar, a Turkmen town in northern Iraq, hard hit by a U.S. military operation last month.
A statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry said the new aid delivery would address in particular the shortage of medical materials. A Turkish aid convoy last month delivered aid materials loaded on seven trucks after the U.S. military operation in the town. The aid team, comprising personnel from the Turkish Red Crescent Society (Kizilay), returned to Turkey on Oct. 7, the statement said.
