A senior cleric on Friday dismissed hues and cries by certain states, led by the US and Israel, against Iran's peaceful nuclear program and against its SCO observer state membership, saying the claims are "foams and bubbles" caused by the US and its allies on the limpid water.

"These (the hues and cries) are foams and bubbles that the US and Israel are trying to create on the clear and limpid water; the US is a wandering and idle bubble; the US is trapped in Iraq quagmire; it neither can remain in Iraq because of hefty economic, social and human cost it has been enduring nor can it leave the country due to its high spendings," said substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, refuting Washington's terrorist charges against Iran aimed at preventing the country's membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Addressing large groups of Friday prayers worshipers in Tehran, Ayatollah Kashani said that contrary to the US propaganda, Chinese Foreign Minister announced Iran is not supporter of terrorism.

He questioned, "How is it that Hizbollah, which is
highly popular in Lebanon, is labelled as terrorist? And, how Hamas, that is elected by the Palestinian nation, is terrorist?"
Somewhere in his second sermon, Ayatollah Kashani refuted Western and US propaganda against Iran's peaceful nuclear program and hoped that Tehran's nuclear problem would be settled through diplomacy.

"The government and Supreme National Security Council are hoped to benefit from their active diplomacy and earn lots of blessings for the country through diplomatic ways," announced the Ayatollah.

Boasting success of Iranian youth in mastering peaceful nuclear energy, Ayatollah Kashani said, "We have now achieved the point of knowledge to amaze the westerners. They should know that they can not deprive us of the technology through charges and claims." The cleric denounced conspiracies against Iran, charging it of pursuing nuclear weapons.

"The one, who imposed the eight-year Sacred Defense (the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war), has made conspiracies today, claiming that the international community has come to the conclusion that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons. Of course, the world will not accept the charge," announced the Ayatollah.

He also condemned a few Western states for the decisions they have been adopting against Iran over its peaceful nuclear program, attempting to justify their decisions echoed international concerns.

"As the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei) has remarked, how can the words and comments, raised by a few people in chambers and announced by certain arrogant mouthpieces, be taken as an international stance?" questioned the major cleric.

He said Iran's peaceful nuclear technology is national and domesticated and "if you ask the world too, they would say Iran is entitled to having such a technology and knowledge."
He went on to say that the world and the NAM states, except a few ones and the US and Israel, have been supporting Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
