Friday, 16 June 2006At least six people have been killed and 18 injured in a suicide bombing at a Shia mosque in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, police say. The blast is the first major attack in Baghdad since a massive security operation came into force on Wednesday.
It took place shortly before weekly prayers. One of the new security measures - a ban on cars on Fridays - was aimed at preventing such an attack.
The government feared reprisals for the death of militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
