Meeting Of Foreign Ministers Of Stabilization And Association Process Countries

An informal meeting of foreign minister of countries of Process of Stabilization and Association (PSA) will be held in Ohrid, December 1-2, upon the initiative of Macedonian Foreign Minister Ilinka Mitreva.

The Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik will represent the European Union. Besides Mitreva and Plassnik, the foreign ministers of Serbia and Montenegro, Vuk Draskovic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mladen Ivanic, Croatia, Kolinda Grabar - Kitarovic and Albania, Besnik Mustafaj will attend the meeting.

The meeting will focus on the possibility for further improvement of integration process of process of PSA countries to the Euro-Atlantic structures, intensifying of regional cooperation, as well as cooperation in regional initiatives.

The ministers will discuss the Charter for Partnership, visa regime liberalization, development of regional market through further trade liberalization and transport infrastructure, cooperation in fight against terrorism, organized crime and corruption, trafficking with people, weapons and drugs.

They will also discuss the intensifying of cooperation with the countries from the Regional Partnership (Visegrad Group + Austria + Slovenia).

The progress of PSA countries in the European integration process, expected support from the European Council for the reaching standards for EU membership will be also discussed at the meeting.
