Wednesday, 23 November 2005OnLine Distribution, the leading distributor of security technology in the Middle East, today announced ambitious plans to improve the region's internet security.
The company, which is essentially a network dispenser, aims to increase the depth of security offered to medium and large enterprises whilst concurrently raising awareness of the threats posed to organizations from hackers and so-called zombie networks.
By combining the skills and expertise of its new partnership companies - SafeNet, Orthogon, CipherTrust, VASCO and Blue Coat - with those of existing collaborators Trend Micro, Proxim and SurfControl, OnLine Distribution is able to offer one of the most comprehensive and sophisticated IT security systems on the market.
The system will draw on SafeNet's encryption technology, VASCO's authentication systems, Orthogon's point-to-point wireless 'ethernet' bridges, CipherTrust's enhanced email security technology and Blue Coat's preventative spyware defense solution. Each company is a recognized leader in its speciality.
Trend Micro already provides an antivirus solution; Proxim, a wi-fi and broadband wireless solution; and SurfControl, an enterprise protection suite.
'The acquisition and collaboration of our partnership corporations is a direct response to a demand for higher levels of IT security in medium and large enterprises,' said Keith Rich, Managing Director at OnLine Distribution.
"We endeavour to lead the way in the IT sector and this joint venture has allowed us to offer one of the world's most advanced and all-encompassing internet security solutions, tackling antivirus, spam prevention, email security, encryption and authentication issues in one go,'Rich concluded.
