KAYSERI - If Roj-TV is the voice of terrorism, it should be eliminated, said Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul yesterday, while stressing that the voice of terror shouldn't have permission to broadcast. Roj TV broadcasts from Denmark and the Danish government says that they defend 'free press'.

Gul also marked the importance of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's attitude towards Danish-based pro-PKK Roj-TV in a U.S. warning to Denmark.

"If our prime minister had participated in the joint press conference with his Danish counterpart Rasmussen, all headlines would have covered the Turkish prime minister and a representative of a terrorist organization being in the same place," Gul added.

"The measures taken against Roj-TV are right. Not just the U.S. but also the majority of European states back Turkey's stance on this issue. If something is considered to be the voice of terrorism, it should be eliminated," Gul asserted.

The Roj TV is financed by the PKK. The PKK had two TV stations, MED-TV and MEDYA TV. However first the UK closed the MED TV. Then France did not give permission to MEDYA TV. The US also urged the EU countries not to support the PKK's propaganda activities in Europe.
