Weekend's Tripartite Meeting in Ankara was Not a Planned One |

DOHA--Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said weekend's tripartite meeting between Turkey, Egypt and Iran was not a planned one.
Speaking to reporters after attending a meeting of the Syrian National Council in Doha on Thursday, Davutoglu underlined that the meeting that was to take place in Ankara between Turkey, Egypt and Iran on the weekend was not planned ahead.
"Egyptian Foreign Minister was to be in Ankara on Saturday for the Egypt-Turkey high level strategic cooperation meeting. We held talks with Iran so the Iranian foreign minister could attend the Ankara meeting on the weekend," Davutoglu said.
"As the Iranian foreign minister would join the Iranian president in a trip to the Far East, it seems that he would not be able to come to Ankara on Sunday," Davutoglu stressed.
"Iranian foreign minister can not be in Ankara due to his program. His absence in Ankara has nothing to do with any difference of opinion," Davutoglu also said.
Davutoglu met representatives of various Syrian opposition groups
On the other hand, Davutoglu met with representatives of various Syrian opposition groups in Doha, Qatar.
Speaking while receiving the representatives of the Democratic Union of Syrian Turkmens and Syrian Turkmen Mass Organization, Davutoglu stressed that Turkey would continue to hold talks with all segments of the Syrian society, including the Turkmens.
Turkmen groups provided information to Davutoglu on the human rights violations in Syria.
In his meeting with the representatives of the Syrian Kurdish National Council, Davutoglu underlined that all groups in Syria had to act together.
The representatives of the Syrian Kurdish National Council told Davutoglu that they had no ties to terrorist organization PKK and that they opposed all forms of terror and that their aim was to establish a democratic Syria.
In his meeting with the representatives of the Syrian National Council (SNC), Davutoglu said that Turkey was the country which saw the pain of the Syrian people closely.
Davutoglu told the representatives of the SNC that the Syrian process had to be implemented by the Syrian peoples themselves and not international actors.
SNC representatives thanked Davutoglu for Turkey's assistance to the Syrian refugees in Turkey.
